im from vancouver, where a couple of cars were lit on fire and a handful of stores looted after we lost the stanley cup finals. this should not reflect on the people of london. this should reflect on the quality of life in low income surrounding sub urban areas and nothing more. it is merely a symptom of a bigger problem. forgive them for they know not what they do.

They are rioting because the think it's fun, and they realised they can get free stuff out of it. There is nothing more to it than that. They are not protesting, they are rioting. They make me ashamed to be British. Scum.

it all started with the police refusing to explain the details of a man getting shot and killed. people arrived outside a police station and waited in a peaceful silent protest. stating that they would not leave until the police divulged information about the case and whether or not the guy was shot according to the law or whatever. some random scumbags showed up and started a fight which led to the riots.
