Patrick D. Deuel lives in Nebraska.
He was born in 1962 and one time he was one of the heaviest men on Earth.
He couldn't leave his bed for 7 years and at his peak he weighed 486 kilograms (1,070 lb).
He had to use a livestock scale to weigh him.
His bedroom wall had to be cut out to extract him from his home.
He had a gastric bypass surgery and a second operation to remove a mass of fat and skin hanging from his midsection.
He lost 260 kilograms (570 lb) in 12 months.
Afterwards he lost even more weight, reaching 170 kilograms (370 lb), a notable 318 kilograms (700 lb) loss.
