I hate it when sites stoop to this kind of stereotyped nonsense just to get a negative reaction (and hits) out of people, no matter which country it's about. It sucks that AC isn't above that, and that there are people who still can't see through it.

Funny how they never mention that they only got their independence thanks to the French. And the only wars they ever lost were against Vietnam and Canada. Plus since when did America win WW1 and WW2? they just came in to clean up like cowards after all the real fighting was already done

Exactly- and what's sad is that there are people who actually, really, believe this to be a true representation when it isn't even close at all- it's just uninspired stereotyping. The only time your average American sees any kind of over-the-top patriotism is on the 4th of July, which is really just used for family cookouts and fireworks anyways. Once again, disappointed with the usually awesome AC for adding more fuel to our already easy internet-target of a country.

You can't drive a car without official permission, and a registered vehicle, and payment of tribute to one of the state's approved insurance companies, and belted into the vehicle, and then the state police might stop you and rob you of anything they can sell to help cover their budget, and the courts will refuse to prosecute the cops for that robbery. You can't get a job without the employer withholding part of your pay, without due process of law, to pay a tax that has not been assessed. You can't build a fence around your own property without permission from the local government. You can't go to Mexico and come back without official permission and a slave card to identify you. Mexicans come here to pick our crops for us and they can't even go home because the border is closed. And when July 4th rolls around you can't even celebrate with fireworks in the traditional manner; you can only hire licensed professional fireworks handlers to celebrate in your behalf.
