Russian federal highway Moscow city - Yakutsk City looks very modern when you start you journey from Moscow.
But thousands of miles later, between the cities Ukhta and Naryan-Mar it just doesn't look like a road anymore.
The worst thing about it is that you don't have any other choice - it's the only "road" there.
It looks even worse than State Road 319 in China .

To think that they cleared all those trees out of the way to get through, only to discover that the moment it got wet you sank up to your axles in it.

It's a bad situation if you have to travel this road, but as is noted here, this is the only choice. Other than this, getting on a boat and travelling round the coast might be an option, but they're pretty well toward the arctic circle, so seasons would limit that way.

They've got more stamina than me for that sort of arsing about, so best of luck to everyone who has to travel the road.

You deserve a medal.

See, the smart thing to do would be to build some kind of inn or restaurant there, to cater to all the poor, hapless folks that got stranded in that mud. Hell, a whole chain of them, one every five or ten miles. Shitty Road Tavern.
