The Chevy had HP to spare. It's just a matter weight distribution. Load them each with a ton of cargo over the rear axle and see who wins.

The Touareg has (Or did have a few years ago) The highest toque of ny production car. Top Gear used one to tow a 747. The Chevy never stood a chance.
