Officer Quincy Smith ... was shot several times by gunman Malcolm Orr after threatening to taser him for refusing to stop in Estill, South Carolina.

Despite suffering two broken arms and a “life threatening” neck injury, Smith manages to stay calm and professional.

A court heard he had bought the special glasses camera himself.

Passer-by J Tompkins is filmed stopping to help Smith, who is heard saying: “I can barely breathe, tell them to hurry up.”

As the officer’s breathing becomes more laboured, sirens are heard and a woman screams: “Quincy you ok baby? Oh God Jesus!”

She desperately begins praying as officers and paramedics arrive to help Smith.

Smith’s blood-stained hand is shown as he desperately radios for help

Smith is later shown laying on the floor as paramedics and cops help him

Gunman Malcolm Orr, 29, was found guilty of attempted murder and possession a weapon in a violent crime on Tuesday.

He was sentenced to 35 years in jail for opening fire at Smith, striking him four times.

The court heard Smith was responding to a call on New Year’s Day 2016 about someone trying to snatch groceries from customers.

Smith spotted Orr walking from the store and ordered him to stop, but Orr instead fired eight times.

Bullets broke two bones in Smith’s arm, severed a vein in his neck, and passed through his upper torso.
