first i think it's hot milk.
they add some colorant which is obviously denser thank milk but at first it stays on top because of surface tension.
afterwards they turn some heater beneath the milk pot.
and when they add the other liquid which i think it's cold, that starts a chain reaction of liquid moving. 55

It is milk, they add food colouring which sits on the surface of the milk then add liquid soap which breaks the surface tension and causes the colouring to move. This causes a convection current in the milk which makes the colours swirl.

fake,
no heat. you do need to use whole milk because the dish soap is what causes the milk to 'stir'. I think it is a really cool time killer. I am not a pothead anymore but if i was I would be doing this right now.

it's real, and it's quite easy.
they add the food colouring to show movement in the milk. then they add soap which serves to breakdown the fat and oil in the milk and change it into water (i think).
you can do the same thing with a fry pan u used for bacon. just add water to it, wait for the oil to bead on top, and add soap then.
