This is why I believe in god. No other entity, prime mover, or governing laws in the universe, including natural selection, could or would create a being so stupid, selfish, ignorant and apathetic as the driver of the blue van, not to mention every other human, dead or alive. The truck driver would have done the world a very small favor by stepping on the gas instead of swerving.
