Fords had a real problem with their transmissions back in the seventies (truck in the video is a '78-'79), they would 'slip out' of park and into reverse.

Something similar was still happening into the 80s. My ex-brother-in-law had an 84 Ranger II that slipped out of park, rolled out of his garage, then down the driveway and right into his neighbor's bedroom. It made a better night table than it did a vehicle.

Good post! That might be the first time I saw one stopped. Usually the rig hits something or you see cops standing around waiting(hoping) for it to run out of gas.... :12:

No european car manufacturer would ever make a fault like that. By law the car manufacturers would be responsible for any faults in the car. Not so in the US, which affects quality drastically.
Add to that the vastly inefficient engines and you have something that anyone with a shred of intelligence would not even get into as a passenger.
Its been a long time since a good car was made in the US..... you probably have to go back to the 60s...
