Horrible thing to happen. I also know people who lost someone to drunk drivers.
However, a father should NEVER say his daughters life is over and ruined infront of her. He should be carrying the banner of hope saying she will get better.

It's time to get real about drinking and driving. In foreign countries there is a death penalty for this. Throw the book at those who drink and drive.

Yeah. She will get better.
What universe do you live in?
She looks like she has severe brain damage. That doesn't go away. Poor girl.
My sister has brain damage and her state hasn't changed for 15 years now.
Hope is ok, but there is a time to recognize the true state and health of a person and accept that it won't get better.
Sad but true. I hate drunk and/or stoned drivers.
Hope she doesn't get worse.

Powerful message. Wow.In 1988 my best friends ex wife, 8year old daughter, and nine month old baby boy were killed by a 24 year old (repeat) drunk driver...Mom and baby were in a single casket with her holding him in her arms, 8 year old in a seperate closed casket. The father is right that these things affect many other people. Needless to say, I have no sympathy for those who drink and drive. The laws in California have improved since then, but more needs to be done.
