what i never understood is that the US has this so called Tornado Belt, where tornadoes are like super frequent, yet most of the houses shown in that area look like bigger kind of sheds. why dont people build a proper hosue once, rather then rebuilding these every other year?

that was actually a workers camp for the oil fields here in ND. They basically put up sheds for those guys. and technically we aren't in the tornado belt. Tornados in ND aren't real regular.
