This brings to mind the Malopo river in the Kalahari desert where the dry riverbed is the country road. When that river comes down, about everybody's there to see.

Con grandes lluvias, en zonas desrticas sucede esto. Ac se los llama Ros secos, solo acaudalados durante las lluvias (drenajes naturales de una zona).
