What you see there is more of a smoke explosion. That happens when the unburned fire gasses that have collected up around the ceiling reignite. This is why you see firefighters cutting holes in the roof of a building and knocking out widows to ventilate and release these flammable gasses before that can happen

You'll notice that there is already an attack line up to the roof, meaning there is a ventilation team already at work up there. Also notice that most of the windows are still intact, the resulting pressure wave caused by a backdraft would have blown all of them out. BTW. Nice to see the attack team wearing their SCBA (airpaks) while standing next to the structure IC FAIL :13: :15: :88:
