Handling issues aside, that must have been a real treat, for the driver, especially, but also for the other motorists. It's not like it's an everyday occurrence.

In the 60's in America they could make 200+mph avg. speed on racing circuits so what says someone couldn't do it today 50 years of developing later? Bet you never ever have ride in a muscle car with better handling than standard, it is no worse than most cars, they're just a bit heavier. But they still corners better than an average Skoda or a Kia.
