Cat Opens a Door

thats what I was thinking, my cat can open a door, he just won't shut it behind him.

There are some misconceptions about cats and one in particular I would like to clear up.
That is, one should never give a cat a bath.
This, simply, is not true.
It is 'break-up' up here in Alaska which means all of the snow has melted rapidly and everything is grey, muddy, and miserable. But it also means my cat will actually go outside and give me a little peace. So, out she went. Stayed out all night.
The next morning she was waiting patiently at the front door and showing clear signs of her nocturnal adventure. She was filthy. Immediately she cleaned all but the most encrusted parts of herself. As for the clumpy parts, she was having none of it.
So I decided to take a risk and give her a bath.
In a nutshell, she loved it. I've never seen her so happy and docile. Nor purr so loudly.
Granted her fur did stick to my tongue quite a bit, but she loved it.
Don't be afraid to give your cat a bath once in a while.
