Yeah that kind of surface is rough and would stop water It has to be coated with something

I saw this effect when the ground is f* hot... then the water doesnt have a chance to stay... but there is a way to use some additives as well...

I checked with my brother in law who's good with these additives and stuff... Apparently it is a coat. It's a thin layer so it's not slippery because the surface is really rough, but if it's (driveway) used often, coat has to be applied every year because it gets spent.
Really cool btw... I should do this with my bathroom :)
