How is that piloting like a boss? So he used the pick-up to get up to speed instead of running along on his own wheels. Nothing hard about that.
If he landed on the trailer that would be different.

No more danger than your average flight really. Just wait till you're up to speed an lift off. As long as the truck has enough space to stop safely, you should be golden.
