I wanted to see the dog Just bite its little head off. dogs I can relate to their pack animals and enjoy company. Cats are out for themselves, and always about foot even when they play they hunt, killing machines, hate them.

I don't want to say that one of them was bad, since I'm not sure if other animals' consciousness is like the human one.
They cannot judge their own actions like we do. The cat doesn't know it does something we humans regard as morally evil. Nobody can be blamed for being born as a member of a certain species.
Dogs prefer to act as pacts and cats (except lions) like to stay alone. And even here there are exceptions. Cats can hunt with others and dogs can hunt alone in certain circumstances, although it's not usual.

The cat is not evil, he's just attacking 'cause he's afraid of the dog. It's self defense. Animals only attack when they're scared or hunting.
