My cut-off for a 'dj' is that he/she SPINS, at least vinyl, not playing downloaded music off their laptop. When I see a laptop, all I see is amateur hour.

dj is an old term that shouldn't be used today really, when you see a laptop it is usually because he is performing his own tracks live.. idk about this guy though. anyway damn is that dude into that jam geez I thought he was having a seizure

A real 'dj' is supposed to be the closest thing to a live performance. If he plays downloaded music, he might be as well be playing a cd, like a gimpy amateur wedding dj.

The job of a 'dj' is to be able to spin and mix the music as the audience re-acts to his set. You need turntables and a mixing board to do that. Your corner club with their $20/hr part time job dj isn't a real dj. Go to a live, underground show and you'll see what I'm talking about.

i respect my 2xl toy robot's musical talent more than "dj's" I will go on record (no pun intended) and say that I leave things in the toilet with more talent than ANY fuck head that calls themself a dj.
