First-Time Driver's Hilarious Brake Fail

Learning how to drive in a car without dual controls. Where the hell is allowed to do something like this on public roads?

Never, never, NEVER try to stop a car with an automatic transmission by putting in Park. All that will do is strip the gears, and it will barely slow it down. Strangely enough, if the hand brake isn't enough, the best thing to do is put it in Reverse.
