This strange creature was found by the Iranian navy ship in the Persian Gulf. It was stinking really bad. What is this?

First of all - the body is shaped much like that of a stingray, the tale - what you all are trying to call a Spine - is sticking out what, 10-20 feet beyond the BODY? Clearly this is not a whale, as the whale would still have meat around the "Spine", such as you have in the front. Notice that this creatures body is circular, and still has meat around the torso. The tail does not... therefor, this wasn't a whale. because it would decompose evenly - give or take a few bites from sharks or other predators.
If we look at this closely, we can tell this creature appears to be related more to the stingray family, rather than that of a whale.
However, stingray is out of the question. The tales of stingrays do not protrude the way this one, nor is it as thick.
Seeing as how the tail goes out INTO A POINT, this is NOT a whale. Whales do not have pointed tails.
Studying carcasses of whales might help the majority of you realize this is not a whale.
The tail has no muscle or meat around it, the torso carcass has "Bumps" that are not related to any known whale. Therefor, this species is Unknown. I would assume it is perhaps something from about 1200+ feet below the surface. As, I believe that is a gland for deep-sea-swimming.

I've been secretly cloning dinosaurs for Steven Spielberg for years. I didn't know they would attempt to swim and die. Back to the drawing board...
