Because this isn't an AcidCow post, this is an advert disguised as an AcidCow post. All those upvotes is called astroturfing.

When AC ran this same thing a couple days ago, it got an avalanche of downvotes, because we readers of AC didn't appreciate AC trying to sneak an advert disguised as a regular post.

So, when AC was planning on running the ad again, I'm sure they said to themselves 'we can't let this happen again.' So either they, or people at the bean bag company, upvoted this advert post themselves, so as to give the impression that people don't hate this bean bag chair.

Truth is, I doubt anybody who downvoted the original ad didn't actually not like the bean bag chair itself; they were just opposed to the method of delivery of the ad.

Astroturfing is not just frowned upon, but will get you banned in a heartbeat on Yelp, which is why Yelp can generally be trusted, and why crap like these bean bag upvotes is totally bush league.
