Get your facts straight before you try to play journalist jackass.

1.)In 2016 PETA could not house 71.9% of their animals and euthanized the animals who would have already been euthanized without PETA's involvement. They at least had a chance they wouldn't have otherwise had.
2.) PETA has euthanized 17,001 animals since 2007; mostly senior and hard to place animals.
3.) The rest is just PR stunts designed to draw attention to the organization, which has clearly worked.

BTW, PETA only spend about 1.25% of its finances on operating expenses. Get your head out of your ass Calum McSwiggan.

I'm not sure how you think any of that is a devastating take-down.

It's my understanding that PETA isn't in the business of "saving animals" at all. They are in the business of "ending animal slavery" etc., which means they don't think animals should be pets, and would prefer that dogs and cats (for instance) be euthanized than be "slaves" (aka pets).
