Store says "We sold so much stuff during our big blockbuster sales event last weekend, that we've decided to continue the sale this coming weekend!"

What it actually means-

"We didn't hardly sell anything last weekend, and we really need to move this stuff out of the store, pronto. Whether we sell it to customers or send it back to the manufacturer, we're taking a beating with these products, and we'd rather sell it to you just to show in the sales books that we can move product, albeit at prices well below our costs."
