There has been a very recent court ruling by a US Supreme Court Justice that the Second Amendment applies to the rights of a militia, not to the individual. Militias must be endorsed by it's government in order to exist.

The DC vs Heller decision was on June 26, 2008. On March 10, 2010 the Massachusetts Supreme Court handed down it's ruling in Commonwealth vs Richard Runyan. There was not one dissenting vote - Every judge sitting on the Massachusetts' Supreme Court agreed with this decision.

The court ruled AGAINST the Second Amendment as being an individual right. They concluded the Supreme Court's decision in DC vs Heller warranted a dismissal, citing violation of G.L. c. 140, paragragh 131L (a). That the two premises of the DC vs Heller ruling were in error.

Oh and I would have to support Jimmy. I have been reading his comments for a while and I find that he is pretty accurate in his submissions, level headed and seems to really research or at least he has quite a head on his shoulders and is well educated. I have never seen him offer any information by just guessing or bull shitting. He is one of the few people here at Acid Cow that I always read his comments.
