Trbovlje Chimney is the tallest chimney in Europe and it sits at an altitude of 360 meters. Trbovlje became the largest mining community in Slovenia and in 1904 the first coal fired power plant was built in the area.

The chimney needs to be higher than the surrounding hills so the prevailing winds blow the emissions away properly.
