Liu Fei proposed to his girlfriend Wang Fangfang with a knee on the ground and a little something extra. He spent $158,700 on the meteorite and he used it as part of his proposal. Considering all the money he spent on the rock, it's a good thing she said yes.

Absolute bullsh*t! Some of the largest, intact meteorites known to man, which often exceed 60,000 Lbs, are much smaller than this chunk of... whatever it is. Even the original story uses the word "meteorite" only in parenthesis because they know either this guy got ripped off or he is trying to fool everybody. If a meteorite of this size/shape did exist, it and the impact site would be very well documented (including a name for the meteor) and it would cost a hell of a lot more than 160 grand. Hell, the Willamette Meteor sold for $26,000 in 1911, that's around $615,000 given inflation, and that meteor was only 15.5 tonnes.
