Thomas Plunkett An Irish soldier in the British 95th Rifles, Thomas Plunkett impressively took down French general Auguste-Marie-François Colbert. He did so with an incredibly inaccurate early 19th century rifle from about 600 meters away. While his fellow fighters believed that his shot was a fluke, Thomas loaded up again and took aim at the trumpet major who came to the aid of the general, and sure enough, he hit him too.
