FFS!! I used to have a golly in the 70's when I was a boy. Gollys were much beloved toys, which while probably not politically correct, they are certainly not racist.

What utter garbage. As Nick1090 says, they were caricature dolls that were very popular a few decades ago. I had one as a child, and I never associated it with any derogatory feeling about anyone.
Problem with this Oh So PC world today is that the offenderati are constantly on the lookout for stuff to be offended about. You can bet your bottom dollar that any complaints about this came from 'right-on' white, liberal lefties, getting offended on the behalf of people they know nothing about.

I used to have a black doll when I was a little girl and I loved it. It's not racist at all... Racist would be not having the opportunity to own a different skin colored doll.
