The world's largest aircraft (length 92 meters) recently left its hangar in the English city of Cardington for the very first time. The hybrid aircraft and airship is supposed to take flight for the first time later this month according to people involved with the project.

Why hybrid aircaft? Its just a blimp, no?

Also, the hindenburg was 2.5 times longer.

It's not a blimp. It is a combination of an airplane, a blimp and a helicopter (therefore the name hybrid). It's the world largest aircraft cause the hindenburg is no longer functional (like all the other zeppelins).

It's the Airlander 10, it was originally a U.S. Army project and has actually already flown.
It was turned over to a private company in the U.K.
