#5 Not quite. If you hold up a grain of sand, not rice, at arm's length, the patch of sky it covers contains on average 10,000 galaxies, not stars.

Just a bit of a difference... 15

#7 Makes no sense. Light photons are created when hydrogen becomes ionised into plasma on the Sun's surface, and as those different charges interact, they lose energy. This energy is radiated as photons.

#14 Please learn to spell and use proper grammar before pretending to be intelligent. Everyone makes mistakes but... "is would be"... "1000,000,000"... "detinated"...

Not to mention "against your eyeball". So, there's a need to place the bomb in direct contact with your eye in order to satisfy this ratio? Someone's full of sh*t.

#5 So, if a galaxy contains at least 10,000 stars, it would be equally true, isn't it? How important is the difference, the point is that the universe is unimaginably huge.

#7 It DOES make sense, and it happens to be true. Do your homework and do some research.
Not because it doesn't make sense to you means that it's not true.

No, it is not equally true. Galaxies contain on average about 100 billion stars, and all the way up to about 100 trillion. So that's like holding a bucket of water and saying, "this bucket has a few million molecules of water in it." It's so grossly inaccurate as to be false.

The apparent reason for posting this image is to impress upon the viewer the size of the universe, but when calculated the error presents the universe as 100 billion times smaller than its actual size. One might as well be saying "there are no stars" in that patch of sky. How do you find that an unimportant distinction?

I stand corrected about photons in the Sun.
