This simple four square pattern is made up of 12 toothpicks and the goal of this brain teaser is to turn it into a three-square pattern by moving 3 toothpicks. Do you have what it takes to figure it out?

Move one: Take a pick from the top left and place it in the middle to the right of the box.

Move two: Take another from the top left and begin to form a new square on the far right.

3

Move three: Take the pick from the bottom center square and complete the new square. Easy!

Actually, I'm twice as smart, just remove one toothpick from anywhere on the outside and then one of the smaller four is no longer a square because it doesn't have four sides.

It says 'move', not 'remove'. You failed at this.
