Shotgun Gets Torn Apart (7 pics)

This brand new shotgun looked beautiful when they took it home, but things went very wrong on the first shot. Needless to say this gun was returned rather quickly.

I know that at tournaments the low recoil target ammo has a white case or hull. Needless to say they would go thru a lot of ammo. We would raid the dumpster after a meet and use the empty hulls for reloads. My point is these are probably reloads and were loaded too hot or they put slugs in instead of buck shot. If they fired a slug in a gun with a choke still in place it could possibly do that. Wonder what brand of Shotgun that was.

You're over thinking this mate. Elmer Fudd was using the gun and Bugs had his finger stuck in the end, I've seen this before

Agreed. I simply cannot believe that would be possible with an unobstructed barrel.

someone shot a slug with a rifled choke that shouldnt have had a rifled choke.

In all seriousness, they attempted this on mythbusters and couldn't get the barrel to split like that, even with items jammed in the bore.
