The USS Gerald R. Ford cost $12.9 billion to build and it's the first warship of its kind. The ship is powered by new generation nuclear reactors and it can reach a top speed of 30 knots. It can carry a crew of 4,660 and it's expected to join the U.S. Navy's fleet in the fall.
