Then you have all the other uniquely American atrocities, such as "manifest destiny", one of the most evil doctrines ever dreamed up by humans. Imagine being a Native American tribe, having lived on your land for - in some cases - 10,000 years, and not only being told to give up your land or die, but then being charged a "foreigner's fee" for prospecting during the California gold rush.
