Last year a horn began growing on her forehead.
It doesn't cause any pain, but looks very strange.

Inconsistent photoshop. If you look at the skin base in the first picture, it is mostly flat with a welt-like ring. In the closeup in the 5th picture, the base not only isn't flat, does not have a welt, and even "blends" outward onto the horn.
Why do people waste time making this shit? Interweb fame?

Precisely. If you all look around the edge of the "horn" you'll see inconsistent pixelation and blah blah blah. The story's real and so are the images. A two-second Google search with the words "old woman horn" would have shown you that.
