#3 I'm the No Call list, so they're required by law not to call me in the first place. That means any telemarketer calling me is a criminal. Telling them not to call does no good. (Remember, they're CRIMINALS!) I'm getting to the point that I don't even answer my landline unless I recognize the number on the Caller ID. Otherwise, if they have a legitimate reason to call, they can leave a message.

I let our landline go in 2005 for that very reason. Besides, it's a U.S. law, and a lot of the telemarketers and scammers are calling from SE Asia or Mexico using spoofed numbers.

#19 Not true. I stayed in a hotel last year where I unexpectedly had to stay an extra night. I'd paid (via a 3rd party site) for my original stay, so asked at the desk how much for an extra night. They quoted me a higher price than I'd paid, and I was told to book it through the 3rd party site if I wanted to pay the lower price. Crazy, but that's the way it is. Generally (not always, but mostly), 3rd party sites like Agoda will offer you much better deals than the rack rate.
