Hmmm, id like to see consistency in this post. Business class is called First Class in the US, but some airlines that have business class also have first class which is on another level altogether.

For example: Looks to me british airways and emirates have first class food here rather than business class, and as such you cant compare them with the others.

A little more research goes a long way AC...

Suddenly I'm hungry. For most of those, the 'economy' food looks as good as, if not better than, the 'first class' stuff.

I am not "rich", and you dont have to be to fly first class. Albeit, it is not cheap or bargain hunting, either. Having flown in both several times, it isnt a whole lot of difference in the quality of food, mostly in the presentation. First class has benefits over other flight classes, but flying coach never chapped my ass anyway...

Economy class food mostly looks much better than business class food.
