Trial by media is a common thing nowadays, innocent until proven guilty is a thing of the past. Im sure this story was in every news channel in the area and the story spread like wildfire.
Something similar happened to a teacher in the uk, with the exception he didnt commit suicide. He lost his job and could no longer get work as a teacher because as soon as they searched his name rape allegations was the first result. Essentially it ruined his life, even though he was proven innocent.
