These two drug smugglers thought they had the perfect hiding spot for their $14 million dollar heroin stash but they drew attention to themselves by circling on the same street too many times. Police pulled them over for acting suspicious and that was they got busted.
Peter Omar Garcia-Romero and Jose Guadencio Lantan-Vela were arrested in Elmurst, Queens, New York, on Tuesday, while they were circling the snowy streets looking for parking spots in a silver pickup and a blue 'monster truck.
A trained search dog found the 100 pounds of heroin hidden inside an old drive shaft and axle casings that were laying in the bed of the silver truck.
Estimates are that the the heroin has a black market value of $14million.
Officials have stated that this is one of the biggest seizures ever in the City of New York.
