Well, reusing abandoned architecural structures is certainly usually a good idea. In that certain case however they planned poorly, imo - the parking slot is taking half of the given space, althought they could've simply built a small parking lot or some underground parking, and used the restspace for a playground or more houses...

The only problem I have with the stadium is that most of them are built on land that was practically stolen from less-affluent people and given to mega-rich guys with too much time on their hands and the ability to use men with badges and guns to do their dirty work.

The following is about "The House that Jerry Jones Built," the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, that was built on land stolen from homeowners:

"Mayor Robert Cluck [of Arlington, Texas] said the properties are owned by individuals who are either unwilling to sell or are demanding an unreasonable price for their homes or lots. Some have not responded to the city’s offers, he said, and a few would not allow city negotiators on their property."
