Nowadays first class isn't much to write home about. Sure, you get extra leg room but is it really worth all that extra money? Back in the 50s it wasn't uncommon for first class sections to look like they were hosting a party in the sky.

Based on the clothing and hairstyles, pretty sure that's not the 50's... Late 60's to early 70's more likely.

Boeing 377 Stratocruiser, first flown in 1947. And it was a prop drive. Amazing.

I recommend that everyone save and fly somewhere at least once in First class. It is a cool experience once in awhile, but I dont miss it so much I have to go every time. Coach is just fine.

I suggest trying Emirates or Singapore airlines first class not any US carriers ;) Not too different then the pics.
