Nowadays you have no reason to be scared of them as you can get a device which keeps the sharks away from you.

in case you missed it, Aindy, it was a tiger shark, hardly "endangered". take a look at facts before the liberal diatribe, please. (source: sharktrust.org) BTW, there is no device that works 100% of the time to "keep the sharks away from you", again, a little research please.
