Camp "Elephant Sands" in Botswana is a place where elephants live side by side with people. It's not at all uncommon to see elephants wandering around or drinking from their favorite toilet.

I've been there. The Elephants are not actually welcome to drink from the toilets. Because of their sheer size and strength, a thirsyt elephant will easily pull down a wall or take a roof off to get to the water source inside a building. Pic 2 shows the ring of rocks planted around the buildings intended to deter elefants from coming close enough to the buildings to damage them. It must be a hot day coz the elephant has no problem walking over the uncomfortable stones to get to water.
