#12 Not true, The jaguar is a large spotted cat of the genus panthera. The cougar, puma, mountain lion, and catamount are indeed the same animal, puma concolor. (Apple's OS X used cougar, puma, and mountain for different release levels but all were the same cat!)
#28 few animals can recognize themselves in a mirror such as elephants and the great apes. Besides man, the chimpanzee seems to be the most enthralled with themselves.

#1 - The first time my dogs saw a dog on tv they barked at it and proceeded to try and smell him. While they cant follow movie plots they can certainly see the picture.

Dogs used to not be able to see the T.V., but with the new resolutions and flat panel T.V.'s they are able to see the T.V.'s with no issue. That is why there are looped video's you can leave on for your dog when you leave your house for the day.
