Well, its to be expected when every second house has a pool. Conserving water is not filling a swimming pool....

Besides, the US are the ones with the highest water consumption per person. Saving 25% would still leave them placing an easy second. It seems they need to learn the hard way, when theres nothing left.....

extreme drought? how about extreme demand? Look it up, the "extreme drought" facts are shady, while no one wants to talk about the consumption of agriculture, ranches, cities, pools, parks....and it isn't ALL of California, either...

Those pics of houses on the edge of the desert look the same, drought or no drought. those are shown for effect and are irrelevant. Aindy, be real.. my backyard is getting zero water, I haven't watered my front lawn at all in 2015, I have low flow showers, hi efficiency washer, low flow toilets with 2 buttons for flushing, (one for liquid another for solid waste). Conserving water has been a habit for me since the drought in the late 70's. For a lot of us Californians who have continually practiced water conservation, one can't cut back 25% more because we already use a minimum amount.... Phynix4 is right, California's population has outgrown it's current water supply system. No one wants a dam built in there own back yard. Yet the population has grown so much our water storage /delivery system must be expanded.
