She claimed the giraffe was elderly and had been kicked out of the heard. She was asked to kill it my the local villagers, which she did, and they eat it.

Nothing wrong with hunting, fishing... or predator control, when livestock or people are at risk.

I am an advocate of eating what you kill, except predators...too many pathogens. Big difference between eating a healthy grass fed deer and a healthy coyote that has been feeding on roadkill.

As for the Giraffe and other African animals. Those hunts are usually set up by the government wildlife agency of whatever country, or game preserve and coordinated by the local tribes, who supply guides, and who also end up with the majority of the meat. Old or not, the meat is still eaten by the villagers who often travel a good distance to attend the feast afterwards.

Older animals are the preferred targets as the locals want the younger healthier animals for breeding purposes.

It's interesting that a lot of the people who love animals are so ready to advocate violence, utter hate speech, and make threats of death or offer to physically attack other humans.

I think the people here mainly have a problem with the fact that she is killing animals for her own personal enjoyment. She is hunting for trophies to boast about the fact that she has killed X amount of animals in X amount of countries. This has nothing to do with population control, protecting wildlife, feeding people etc.

However, i agree with you saying that people who say she should 'die' or 'punch her throat' are putting themselves in the same boat she is. But nonetheless, negative feedback is the least that she deserves...

I hope one time a killer will hunt down your child!
