#23 Don't even think about top shelf.

Cognac like Hennesey XO in a restaurant or bar. Costs $43 a shot in Reno, NV, US, and there are 17 shots in a 1/5 so that is $731. The same 5th is $200 in a liquor store so the markup is 4 times retail. However they get it the bottle for wholesale so that markup is quite a bit more than 4 times the cost!

Luis III is currently $250 a shot in Reno. 17*250=$4250, the retail price of the bottle but they buy it wholesale.

However, I wouldn't drink anything less than XO so I buy the bottle at the liquor store.

The same for other top shelf liquors, wines, liqueurs, and champagne.

#37, yeah, your COMPANY is technically required to by law but the grunt at the front end making commission only and pushed to make hundreds of calls? They're just going to hang up and move on leaving your number in the database and only your word that you ever said otherwise. Because do YOU know how to get in touch with a telemarketer calling on behalf of another company?

#26, really? so, people study for nothing you say... "secrets-revealed-by-insi
ders"? JA, it's just a scam. Go... go ahead, build you house with those "blue prints" lest see how it goes. Crappy post, mainly to take advantage over other people, that is not something I would brag about. :13:

This is one of the stupidest posts I've ever seen.
Most apply to extremely specific cases and most are entirely dependent on factors that are not mentioned.
I'm in the mood so let's do this.
#1: Extremely variable and not applicable to all books.
#2: That is entirely up to the company's policy and not some state law.
#3: You cannot always "bargain" on the price of a room. Especially if the hotel is fully booked. Just stupid...
#4: This can sometimes work but not in the simple way it states.
#5: No. Just no. Genetics play a big part in teeth.
#6: Sure, I want a refund for an undelivered Amazon product, let me just ring up Jeff Bezos. Idiot.
#7: Maybe I don't know, you could save a couple of hundred.
#8: Actually this is true.
#9: No. Again no. It's up to the company's policy.
#10: Maybe 1 out of 10000 times that is true. Normally no.
#11: Again depending on the call center's setup.
#12: Oh my god so stupid. If the screen is broke and there's a huge fucking dent on the side it's pretty clear someone dropped it.
#13: Well that's ok.
#14: Yes.
#15: No. Don't know what he's thinking about but no. The markup is not justified but high end furniture are of superior materials and craftsmanship.
#16: Yeah ok I've heard some terrible stories.
#17: Yeah no.
#18: Pharmaceutical shampoos actively kill the fleas and prevent more fleas from getting on your pet.
#19: I've never heard of air pumps that accept coins. I thought it was free everywhere.
#20: I agree.
#21: Again, SOMETIMES this is true.
#22: True.
#23: I cannot believe that anyone would bring their own wine and I don't think restaurants really allow that.
#24: Again how specific is this.
#25: Again depending on the restaurant.
#26: What? Just what?
#27: That's just stating an estimated figure. ok.
#28: Again this is vague.
#29: No one cares.
#30: No. There is a standard fee. They cannot charge you arbitrarily for anything.
#31: That is 100% accurate actually.
#32: Again, depending on the company and flight.
#33: ok.
#34: True.
#35: What the actual fuck. No.
#36: Ok...
#37: Again depending on the company. Damn it man.
#38: No. It's not all the same.
#39: That makes sense why are you stating the obvious?
#40: No. Just no. What if I order a steak? You put butter in the meat?
#41: I don't know about that one.
#42: And your house will stink of vinegar FOR EVER.

#7, As long as the car is delivered by the end of the month...so go 4-5 days before month end. Also January & Feburary are slow months for dealers, so the deals are better.

# 37 you cannot guarantee that the caller will comply so you'll still be in their database.

# 41 I'm SO glad that we have an NHS here is Scotland. Our doctors consultations are free as are prescription medication and dental treatment, and.... we have a population of just over 5 million as an entire nation.

#15 is totally false, high quality furniture is factory assembled. Crap from IKEA and the like should never be considered high quality, it's disposable (known as KD or "knocked down") furniture and vastly over priced.

High price does not necessarily mean high quality either, and don't be afraid to haggle price at the furniture store. Markups range 70-120% on furniture, avoid their in-house, interest free financing too, pay cash, it gives you leverage.

I spent 18 years in the retail furniture business.
