Last year before Christmas the Mexican government called for a voluntary disarmament of citizens. As you can see the response they got was overwhelming.

a lot of the guns are just given to criminals for money. the whole contry is corrupt. these guns being destroyed were for show only.

Sell a gun for 1,000 pesos then buy one from black market for 500 pesos. 50% profit huh!
