Back in 1958 the Air Force accidentally dropped an atomic bomb on Mars Bluffs, South Carolina. Miraculously no one was killed and there's a crater in the town that reminds everyone of the horrific accident.

Its not a nuclear weapon without the nuclear core. Its just a bomb that fell in someones backyard and damaged a building....

"Its not a nuclear weapon without the nuclear core. Its just a bomb that fell in someones backyard and damaged a building...." - The thing is, it was a real nuclear bomb... The only reason it didn't explode was a huge bucket of luck... The trigger mechanisms failed (yes there are more than 1) and that is why the reaction didn't star! You can find several articles about it on the web...
